SSC LEADERS - Crystal Ball insights for the New Year 2017 !



How do leaders of some of the largest SSCs/ITOs in Poland look forward to the New Year 2017? And what about their personal favorite things during the cold winter season? We've asked them, let's see!


Wojtek Mach, Managing Director Central Europe, Luxoft

As you look back on 2016, what are you most proud of professionally?

As Luxoft we’ve opened new locations in Warsaw and Tricity, grew significantly in Bucharest, strengthen our brand in Sofia and concluded countless fun filled activities with our employees, including Professor Wnuczek, Business Run, flash mob in university in Romania, frequent blood donations across all locations etc.

Personally, at the beginning of 2016 I’ve been appointed on larger role, expanding my responsibility to cover entire Cental Europe. That gave me lots of new interesting challenges, more impact on Company’s activities and opportunity to appreciate even more great Luxoft people across different locations – and I can use my Bulgarian again J

What are your winter vacation plans over the holiday season/Ferie?

I’m heading to Vason in Italy for a week long skiing with my Partner and family. I find Italian ski resorts the most cozy ones, with unique atmosphere during afternoon after-ski events. Hope to do some trail running as well.

And your favorite foods/drinks in the wintertime?

My mother’s bigos is among favorites for sure. In Italy I really enjoy Bombardino with Paulina right after skiing.
And herbata z pradem works well every time after long cold day in Poland ;)

Looking forward to 2017, what are the most important milestones ahead of you and your company?

We’re entering another year of explosive growth, after significant transformation we’ve done in recent months. We’re on our way to become start counting revenues in billions and we need to up our game in every aspect  - on our way to greatness. New locations are being considered, Asia looks promising, we’re entering new domains and expanding our footprint in hot areas, like HMI, DevOps, BigData, IoT. As always, in Luxoft one have too many opportunities to spend his time on!

As you look back on 2016, what are you most proud of professionally?

Setting up a new centre, and growing beyond our initial plans to 250 employees, in less than 12 months. In doing this, we have also built a positive employer brand for a company brand (IG) and service offering (leveraged trading services) that does not exist in Poland.

What are your winter vacation plans over the holiday season/Ferie?

Relax with family – switch off and enjoy some downtime/recharge the batteries.

And your favorite foods/drinks in the wintertime?

For me, a traditional Irish Christmas dinner or some nice roast lamb (again, Irish of course!). Drink wise, a little wine…………

Looking forward to 2017, what are the most important milestones ahead of you and your company?

We will continue our office growth, with a target to exceed 300 employees. At the same time, we will be focusing on the maturity and development (market & product knowledge of our business is very unique and important) of our current team as we continue to show the value and quality the our talented team can deliver.

 

Agnieszka Zygner, General Manager, Capita Polska Sp. Zo.o.

As you look back on 2016, what are you most proud of professionally?

I am the most proud of the growth Capita Poland have achieved in 2016. In 2016 we have brought to Poland wide variety of new projects that are quite unique in Krakow and Lodz market.  This created a lot of new opportunities for promotions from within the Team and brought a lot of new roles for many talented people we are employing.  We have completed merge between Krakow and Lodz and now it is on big Capita Poland team.

What are your winter vacation plans over the holiday season/Ferie?

I will be home for Christmas with my children and family in Italy. First week of the year we are going to ski in Canazei (Trentino).

And your favorite foods/drinks in the wintertime?

I generally like Italian healthy cuisine without mixing too many ingredients and I usually focus on a high quality raw material i.e. good quality of fish, seafood or meat.  I eat a lot of seasonal vegetables and little bread. Drinks depends from season – red wine in winter to accompany soup or meat dish while sparkling white wine (Franciacorta) in summer with seafood.

Looking forward to 2017, what are the most important milestones ahead of you and your company?

Looking forward to 2017, there will be many challenges, however our business is solid and I will be looking for business consolidation after quite important growth in 2016.  There are many topics that should be discussed in a wider audience of the BPO sector, such as future and specialization of Poland BPO/SSC considering growing salaries level and competition from another CEE countries.
