Fujifilm opens its first European Shared Services Center in Gdansk



Fujifilm just announced the opening of its new site in Gdansk. FUJIFILM Europe Business Service (FEBS) shall perform operational processes for FUJIFILM Europe, in particular in the areas of F&A, procurement and human resources.


 

Fujifilm has announced the opening of its first European shared services center, which will be located in the Olivia Business Centre office complex in Gdansk. From September 1, the center began to implement operational processes for Fujifilm in Europe, mainly in the fields of finance, procurement and human resources.


‘The news about opening Fujifilm’s new center is yet another great information for Gdansk and the local labor market. It confirms we are an attractive business location for global companies, looking for qualified employees who are able to perform in a demanding international environment for top employers’- said Andrzej Bojanowski, deputy Mayor of Gdańsk.

In the comming months FUJIFILM Europe Business Service will look for both experienced experts and fresh university graduates in areas of: finance and accounting. human resources, procurement, and customer service. All candidates should speak English, however for certain positions  knowledge of German, French, Italian and other European languages will be an asset. FEBS intends to become an open company for student internships and junior class employees, that would like to develop their professional skills in an international environment.

Since the very beginning the investment was supported by the initiative of Invest inPomerania, in particular the Pomerania Development Agency and the Gdańsk Economic Development Agency (InvestGDA).

Tri-City is the main hub of development of service centres in the Pomeranian region. More than 100 business service centres operate here and employ more than 20 000 employees. The vast majority of these centres specialise in IT services (ITO centres) and financial processes.

The new operation will strengthen our overall performance across Europe and will support our further development and growth’.
